A woman called Ann Hernandez tossed a bottle with a message into the sea back in 2003 in Massachusetts. It was found by fishermen 3,000 miles across the Atlantic. They found it last month. Ann wrote that she was a lighthouse keeper (lol) and that she had thrown bottles with notes into the ocean every birthday since 1991, she urged the finders to send a card back to her.
The fishermen tried but found out that Ann had died last year at 61 from a surgery gone wrong.
What are the chances?! How Ironic that she passed away just before some one actually found her bottle. On one hand i want to laugh but then again it’s kind of cute. Now think about just how many messages in bottles there are in the sea, weird or what.
